Chalet Vallon
Built on an old mining plot, this chalet is bursting with character and charm. Full of entertaining features and classic design, the garden even houses an original miner’s cabin, now renovated into a beautiful master suite but once used on the set of “Bonanza!”
This towering cabin is built into the hillside of a pine forest. Long ago it was a prospector’s lot and the property is sympathetic to that.
The interior matches the exterior and is modern and sleek with redwood trim.
The chalet is laid out over three floors and an external master suite. The external suite is spacious and luxurious with clever mood lighting. There is a kitchenette along with ensuite facilities. This suite is actually an 1800’s miners’ cabin that has been thoroughly renovated inside.
Inside there is a roomy open plan kitchen/dinning/living space beneath a balcony that leads to the bedrooms. This balcony allows the space above the communal area to stretch all the way to the roof, giving a bright and spacious atmosphere.
There are decks on all floors, and on the living floor the deck houses a hot tub, nestles under the pines. Settle in for at least one evening of cocktails in the hot tub watching Tahoe’s bright stary sky peak between the branches. Beyond the deck is a large private garden that runs down to the lake.
Above the living space, there is a mezzanine with a sofa for relaxing in front of the lake, and behind a games room with pool table and bar.
